We are no longer in the dark about sex and gender as we once were when
we thought that there were only 2 sexes, male or female. We now know that
3 people out of every hundred are going to be different from absolutely male
or female by degrees and that sex organs do not completely define sexual
gender. Genetically, we now know, it is possible to appear to be male but
be female by gender because there are as many as 17 or more genes that
define gender and sexuality, and 3% of the time they mix on a "rainbow" of
sexuality. So we know enough not to any longer fault people who do not
conform to the perceptions we once had of absolute sexual differences.
Of course, there will be people who are ignorant of the latest scientific or
medical knowledge and will therefore act like ancient troglodytes. But
intelligent human beings will inform themselves of the latest knowledge
and catch up to modern standards, bigots, and xenophobes, of course,
will not and will instead choose to live in the past.
