While we enjoy the Pentagon spending 52,000 of taxpayer money on trash cans
our Congress is fighting over school lunches for children. Lesser nations than
our massively wealthy and successful economy provides their citizens with
free ambulances, free healthcare, and free college educations, we are considering
pulling school lunches away from children and helping people into life on the streets
because we allow housing to be commodified, traded on exchanges by powerful
wealthy corporations who raise rents with impunity and screw over people who
do not have the legal prowess or political connections to defend themselves. We
are becoming a nation of scoundrels and outlaws.
