While none of the "santuary" cities were putting off these migrants,
the term "sanctuary cities", was not a call to welcome new emigres
but to protect "Dreamers" from draconian Republican plans to expel
people who were brought here as infants and children to whom
their "home countries" would be totally alien to them, many of then
who spoke only English besides.
