The filibuster wouldn't matter if all elected officials were Patriotic, but that is not the case, some elected officials are in fact white supremacists, extremists and/or religious bigots, thus it comes now that a relative "hand full" of voters is two states are pulling America into an authoritative black hole from which it will be difficult if not impossible to climb out of.
