If faith in voting fails then the purpose of voting fails and in its turn, democracy fails. But even more importantly, capitalism fails as well, as one can easily see around the world, one-party systems are no good at capitalism at all. Now capitalism carries a very heavy debt load because it is capable of generating very large incomes. Other methods of governance are not so adept and will surely result in debts being called. Republicans haven't given much thought to what happens after they "secure" power by means other than popular consent.
