Adam Schiff: Barr Memo Claim On Need For Obstruction Decision 'Flimsy' |...

Barr had better be very careful not to lie. He could be charged with either obstruction or contempt of Congress. It is galling to see so many public officials mistreat Congress members with their own versions of "facts" with no support, as Betsy DeVoss for example, who; not only wasted precious Congressional time, preventing and/or slowing the corrective processes, but who showed utter contempt for Congressional oversight powers, by spewing some half baked inane garbage she made up "on the fly" for which she couldn't produce any material or studies.  Taking the committee and it's authority as some sort of joke.

While I understand Congressional reluctance to use contempt citations as a tool, because of the political nature of many examinations. Congress is being treated with such contempt of itself, it is approaching the point of becoming almost laughably ineffective. With the possibility of personal penalties in the offing, I doubt; these Trump syncopants, would have much stomach to make their dodging efforts.

Trump Aide Who Cooperated: ‘Bad Things’ Coming In Mueller Report | The B...

American reporters, ha! No Cronkites here, they are running with a newly released document that even Barr has panicked an hastened to say is no "summary" of the Mueller report. So what then is it? It's just worthless spinning written by a Trump syncopant, attempting to please his master.  The report does not say there was no collusion,  the report says what such reports always say:  that they will not draw any conclusions from the evidence they have gathered. They will leave it to Congress to draw conclusions.

You would have to be a very special sort of idiot to think that all these highly skilled and highly trained people, qualified to earn hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars per year, would place their entire lives and reputations in serious jeopardy, by lying to Congress about something that was legal and innocent,  if somewhat objectionable.

Flynn, for example, was a general. Generals, as a rule, do not lie unless it is about something extremely critical and usually not even then.  Generals do not tell needless or casual lies. These kinds of people were lying about things they knew had to be covered up because they were crimes. It was their hope that the locksteppping Republicans would provide enough cover that they would be able to get away with the lies. For a long while it must have seemed like it was working. Then Trump panicked and fired Comey and that set the kettle to boil.

William Barr Improvises Role On Mueller Report Despite Clear Regulations...

Nightly News Broadcast (Full) - March 28, 2019 | NBC Nightly News

I, sincerely hope that they are not attempting to set this case up as some sort of template for anything to do with the Mueller report. As you can see, if you frequent this blog, our regular US news outlets give slap dash coverage of critical issues as they choose. This leaves many voters out of the loop and easy prey for political hoaxes like the "Monkey Business" boat hoax. I'm pretty sure that more foreigners know what that was about, even while most Americans will have to Google for it. SMH.
