Message to Graham: "Cut the Crap and stop with the BS"!

Trump explodes at Nixon comparisons as he prepares to leave office

The President is completely "round the bend" delusional, paranoid, and in the hands of the worlds' worst advisors who either don't know the law or believe they can just make things up.  His big money donors and lenders have pulled out and with his legal woes climbing, he's going to wind up either in jail or on bread lines.
He knows he's made a lot of enemies and they'll be circling his "corpse".  The feeding frenzy, in the words of Michael Cohen: "It's going to be F-ing disgusting!"

Republicans Admit They're Afraid of Trump and MAGA

Crimes need to be punished period, that the trial might be divisive is of no moment for if it were only people unworthy of note could be made to face justice, while all else would be above the law.
Two things: 1. These Republicans are cowards, unable to stand up for the country like the men and women they send off to war are expected to.
and 2.  Voter intimidation is a crime as is intimidation of members of Congress, so why aren't "law and order" Republicans seeking the aid of law enforcement?

Can Trumpism endure without Trump?

Once out of office Trump is going to have some deeply humiliating experiences now that his elite backers and bankers have pulled away.  He'll be in court, unable to conceal his taxes and other business ventures including his foreign entanglements that may be connected to his presidential actions.  There are sure to be property seizures, convictions, and sentences, followed by terrible articles about how his dealings may have affected his administration/presidential decisions revealing a stupidity and double-dealing, possibly treasonous, deceit beyond belief.  Sufficiently tarnished and mangled the entire world will want to look away.  Also, being penniless won't help.

Cedric Richmond On Trump Impeachment in Final House Floor Speech

Boy Susan, Trump not only did not learn,  he actually decided to do even worse, having gotten away with so much already.  I guess he counted all of you Republicans who would stick with him, even after he shot someone on Fifth Avenue!

Incitement: Is the President Guilty of Inciting the Riot?

One has to take into account that the President will have legal advisors who will tell him what he can and cannot say.  He will also have political strategists who will tell him how to whip the crowd into a heated frenzy, without putting himself at risk via his language.  The fact of the matter is that the President insisted on the crowd being aggrieved about a lie and he made it seem that the "steal" could be set right, if only Mike Pence and other Republicans in the Senate, could be convinced to change the vote count (yet another lie).  He also knew that the mob was armed and that there was nothing they could do by marching to the Capitol, except fester and stew in their frustration.  Creating a situation, built on lies, that was more than likely to result in somekind of physical actions.  Worse yet is that as President,  his appointees would be of a kind to figure out what he wanted and do it, without him having to say it. (According to his former lawyer M. Cohen).

Live: Trump Impeachment Vote In The House After Capitol Riots | NBC News

So, the Republican argument is: The nation should be unified in letting the President commit high crimes and misdemeanors because to hold him accountable for his transgressions would split the nation and pit those who believe treason and sedition should be excused, against those who believe it should be punished.  Why should it be divisive to punish a President who committed crimes?  Shouldn't we be united in wishing that criminals be brought to justice?

It's about time, eh?  Now that the banks have said that Trump will now have to sue them to get his money, instead of them suing him to get their money and the Republicans have lost major contributions from major corporations, everything has now changed. Trump is now on his way out of office, facing many criminal charges, is without money, and is losing support among his reptilian party.  Well, he's probably going to be bouncing off White House walls for the next 7 days.

Trump Banned From Social Media As FBI Warns Of More Violence | Pod Save ...

Geeze, the abject stupidity and  lack of understanding of the laws that control the vote counting that took place on the 6th, is obvious and the fact that no one in the White House was able to correct such thinking shows just how shallow the Presidents intellectual resources have come to be.  So, with that in mind and examination of the tweetstorms that ensued, promoting the 6th as some sort of pivot point where influence could be successful.  All goes to show that the President and his sycophantic appointees/employees are focused on the President's objective of turning Pence and "starching the spines" of Republicans at the ceremony, was of paramount importance for anyone working for Trump, who in the hopes that it might work would give them 4 more years employment.  Hardly a wonder then that police might come to "think" that Jan., 6th was of no great moment.  Allowing and excusing their absence at the capitol and, of course, the Presidents joy of the chaos added to his rejection and failure to answer calls for further assistance to protect the lives of elected officials who were clearly being targeted.  The entire mix has the flavor of the very kind of insurrection Trump would prefer rather than leaving office, means that Trump is the mass murderer in chief, even if his incompetence prevented him from succeeding at it.

History professor weighs in on pro-Trump Capitol riot

This behavior makes sense if they believed that the President was going to be with them. As he promised at the rally.  Anyone want to bet that Trump somehow had a hand in pulling the capitols protection squads?  He's spent so much time installing sycophants everywhere, why not there?  And of course he never gives overt orders as we know from his former lawyer Cohen,  he implies what he wants and his people figure out how to deliver.

Navarro: I call bull. Trump never represented GOP values

Navarro is right, these "Auric Goldfinger" maneuvers fool no one!  You remember Goldfinger?  When he discovered his plan had been thwarted, he immediately turned his coat, began shooting his own men and pretended to be a U.S. General. These Republicans are a pretty pathetic bunch of rascals.

Speaker Pelosi Says 'Nothing Is Off The Table' In New Interview | Mornin...

Hooray Nancy for repeating what I've been saying for years, costing me my youtube account, probably because youtube is loaded with rightwing moderators, all I did was post a very large number of links to Rachel Maddow and Morning Joe videos, among others, that proved that Trump was a lying, racist, ignoble and decrepit human monster who should have been nowhere near the pinnacle of power.

Also, those doors in the Senate and House offices need to be made more secure, a quarter-inch steel plate sandwiched between the wood faces and high security safe like deadbolts around the edges of the doors and high-security window shutters, ready for either manual or remote activation.  Com'on fellas this isn't Rome cir. 1034, this is the 21st century,  build like it.

Disturbing New Video And Details Emerge From Capitol Riot | Morning Joe ...

He whipped an armed mob to a frenzy with lies about them being cheated victims of a criminal Senate about to count votes to disenfranchise them.  Then he turned this armed mob to the capitol building where the counting he wanted stopped was taking place.  Then he lied to them, telling them that he would be there with them. Giving them the impression of having some official support behind them.  Hardly a wonder they felt empowered to take any actions they deemed necessary.

'Untethered from reality': Alisyn Camerota calls out Trump supporters

Now that the Republican agenda has been revealed as to where it leads, they're seeking arguments for cover, like "it gets in the way of unity", where was the interest in unity when they went their own way without consultation? Please, they've got to give us a break, all these false pleas now that they're revealed as the despicable and dishonorable people they are.  The Republican party will not be an American party again until they lose their racism, but when they do, they will lose most to their membership as well.

Live: NBC News NOW - January 11

It's hard to understand why Trump is not being charged with criminally negligent homicide for his handling of the Covid 19 pandemic.  It would be excusable if he was merely mistaken about his ideas of how to proceed against the disease, but the Woodward interview reveals that he was not confused, he knew it was deadly and he knew that measures needed to be taken.  Even if he did not know what measures to take, he is provided with the worlds best minds to consult with.  His refusal to institute national protocols, rather than the hodgepodge of state stewardship, is an action or inaction that led to and increased the disease spread and the number of deaths, therefore.

Worse still is that his several reversals and his interferences with state mounted protocols in attempting to attenuate the spread of the disease, amounts to nothing short of criminal negligence.
