History professor weighs in on pro-Trump Capitol riot

This behavior makes sense if they believed that the President was going to be with them. As he promised at the rally.  Anyone want to bet that Trump somehow had a hand in pulling the capitols protection squads?  He's spent so much time installing sycophants everywhere, why not there?  And of course he never gives overt orders as we know from his former lawyer Cohen,  he implies what he wants and his people figure out how to deliver.
