"Beating your chest" on each legislative win is polarizing and divisive and
so as to not be divisive, because there's always more that needs to be done,
smart politics is to stay away from "chest pounding", alas that is no longer
the case and it will take a long time to get back to where we once were.
The trouble is, with unity on very wobbly legs we're in danger of having
our adversaries take easy advantage of our divisions. Once we could
depend on oceans to keep them at bay, but in this electronic age that
too is no longer the case.
