incredibly expensive, time-consuming and counter-productive and

so the networks and other media outlets refused to engage. Ronald

Reagan overturned the Fairness Doctrine and that act allowed

the media to be used for propagandizing.  Fox News was set up

and immediately began engaging in rightwing propagandizing.
