Obviously this illustration is wrong but even a near miss
would tear the ear off or mangle it extensively there
is no chance of a "point injury" with an AR-15 round
passing close to a head, further away and it could still
cause subdural hematoma, or a closed head injury since
it develops ~ 2,300/ft/lbs of pressure. But I'll have to
leave it to the experts to analyse how close or far the
round could have been and the type of injury it could do.
