Analyzing Russia's Massive Failures in War Against Ukraine

Now imagine what this kind of corruption would do to an expensive nuclear
arsenal?  How much do you think would be left after high Russian Officers
were denied pay because of kleptocratic machinations of the political
leadership?  Remember the Russian financial crises began when the USSR
collapse leaving its astronauts on the ISS with no way to get home and
its military with soldiers begging in the streets for money for meals and shelter.
Of course, it was Yeltsin's problem but he wasn't at war so it was a "small"
problem. However, it continued unabated when Putin took power and got his
Kleptocracy underway with his kingpins laundering money and off-shoring it
to the US and UK among other destinations. You'll no doubt remember that
Deutsche Bank and Cypress banks figured large in the mix. With high
military officials' huge demands for cash, I sincerely doubt their nuclear
arsenal was immune from plunder, especially since it takes a huge capital
outlay to have and maintain such a weapon system.  You be the judge as
to whether or not you believe Russia has somehow maintained it's unclear
arsenal through it all.
