Pecker had planned to spend hundreds of thousands
of corporate dollars to buy stories worth millions of
dollars and bury them instead of publishing them so
that his corporate shareholders could enjoy the profits
and instead, shoulder the losses that would accrue due
to Pecker's intention to make massive contributions to
Trump's Presidential Campaign, a conspiracy involving
Pecker, Trump, Cohen, Alan Weisselberg, and anyone
else who was in on the deal. This massive campaign
contribution scheme was a criminal conspiracy to thwart
and evade campaign contribution restrictions at law.
