District attorney explains decision to charge Alec Baldwin over 'Rust' s...

I understand some are raising an insane defense that actors should
not be required to have expertise etc., about the props they use.
The point here is that: Exactly how much expertise is necessary
to know not to point a weapon at anyone while attempting to 
arm it?  The gun had to be not only aimed at the target
but it had to be held in position while the hammer was being
drawn, even if a trigger pull was not required.  So then, what
is the excuse of pointing the weapon at anyone?  Obviously,
there is absolutely no reason unless an "accident" was to be
obtained.
