Ah yes, I remember how the "Three Strikes Law" worked to put a man in jail for life, his third strike was triggered by him stealing a loaf of bread.  He was caught hiding in a tree, eating the stolen bread and it was off to jail as the news heralded his three strikes violation horror of jail for life. I'll bet you thought prison for life was reserved for people who were proven to be an extreme danger to society.  Let me ask you: Do you live in fear of people who steal loaves of bread?
