I look at this pandemic response as a prelude to what might ensue if an even more deadly pandemic were to hit the globe, obviously by any metric we did not do very well at all.  Had this pandemic had a higher death rate we'd have been so swamped we might be looking at near a century to recover.  Not good at all.
