Voting rights activists prepare for filibuster fight in Senate
Voting to elect officials is supposed to allow Americans to elect officials who govern better than those who don't or can't govern, but merely seek to gain and hold office for the perks of the job. Some candidates merely use the polls to tell them what to say to get elected, not that they are interested in doing any such things. This is why voters need to pay more attention to a candidate's history to separate those who can and will perform from those who do not. That's how America survives and succeeds. Otherwise, we will fail.
