Looks like Susan Collins "has learned". lol. The party has begun to fracture as Republicans realize that, although Trump may be able to cause them to be primaried by some nutcase, if they are doing their job, there's little risk of them being defeated.  Only Republican "free riders", those who only hold office because of their connections and such but who do not or cannot do the job, are at risk of being defeated.

Just look at that unruly mob; it would be bad if that were taking place out on the street.  But this is happening inside the Capitol building where highly contentious issues are handled peacefully only because of the constraints of the rule of law and parlimentary procedure.  In other countries such differences are not settled by voting, but by guns blazing.  Just imagine trying to accomplish Americas objective if there were guns blazing away in the streets all the time.  Mitch and his Republican sycophants, cowtowing to Trump, would eventually deliver us to a place where gunfire would be the only way to settle even the most mundane of differences.

Did anyone really expect Trump to say that they should walk to the Capitol with violence?  Of course not, whatever he intended, if not legal or lawful would be concealed behind legal and peaceful language.  You cannot go by what a person says, even less when that person has premier legal advice available.  "Mr. President, we know what you want to happen but you must not say that."  It is enough that the President was misled into thinking that Pence could change the vote, it's enough that the President convinced the angry mob that Pence and the Senate could be coerced into changing the vote being counted.  

Trump is responsible for everything that happened at the capitol that day because; without his lie that the election was stolen there would have been no reason for that rally, nor any reason for anyone to march on the Capitol, less any mob to be angry for any reason.

Also, Trump had no permit for any march/walk to the Capitol so it was unlawful.
