McConnell has turned the Senate into little more than a joke. As Trump continues to break the laws the Congress has passed, there is nothing the House can do, because the Senate won't go along. Worse yet is that now that Trump has corrupted the DOJ, there's no way to get either Barr or Trump to do anything, that is; abide by any law. If "we the people" can't get together and purge this tyrant and his sycophants from their offices, there will be nothing left of the America we used to know. Meaning that no one knows what will happen next. Whose wealth will be confiscate without trial or appeal, whose life and/or freedom will be terminated without just cause.

Bloomberg has pledge to put his wealth behind the nominee whomever that happens to be. He does so for a very good reason; who will protect his wealth, or the wealth of anyone else, if the rule of law? If the legal institutions that give us our rights go away, then it's anything goes. We know how vindictive Trump is, so anyone running for President, or any media master who doesn't cow-tow to Trump is in danger if Trump can destroy the Justice department and use the IRS to punish. Anyone with money worth protecting has to realize just how dangerous Trump is, most especially to Jews and Blacks and others because he cottons to white supremacists and nazi's.

The policy was painful but the exercise was terrorizing. No young black man or child could walk the streets without fear of a police encounter that could result in a serious tragedy. No one should have to live like that. Just imagine you had to have papers to go anywhere and there were police and soldiers on the streets to inspect your papers at every corner. They could hold you for half and hour or more at each inspection and the consequence of complaint would anger them and risk serious harm and arrest.

BUT: What was Barr doing, getting involved in the Stone case at all? It had been handled by the attorney's assigned and it was finished. This is how you will lose your rights, imagine living under a government that tells you what to think and say. Imagine living under a government that tells you what to do, how to live, what religion or none to believe in. Imagine being arrested or deprived of your possessions or taken away from your loved ones and/or imprisoned simply because someone with a little political power has decided he or she doesn't like you or wants what you have. Well, that's the kind of government that Republicans are leading us towards and they'll get it if the people don't get together and stop them. If, for example, they cannot sway your opinion with cash offers, they may be able to sway your opinion with offers of medical help, or social security assistance. Your troubles are quivers in their arsenal, why would they want any of them removed? Of course they don't, thus Medicaid for all becomes "Socialism"! Anything that's good for you is labeled as something you do not want, so that you won't go get it. Then you wonder why you're under their thumbs so securely, hahaha! It was horrible, if you were a young black in the city. On your way to school in the morning there would be a undercover police on the streets. Suddenly you'd see a badge in your face and you'd be told to walk around a corner or to some other area where police were holding other youths. You'd be searched, your ID taken and held and for the next 30 or 40 minutes you could do nothing but wait and hope you'd be let go. Occasionally some young man, after having been stopped several times in the last hour or so, would express his exasperation the Police would then place him under arrest for assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. It was terrifying. Blacks had to live with that for the Bloomberg years. Stopped going to and from school, stopped on you way home or to work, stopped while going to visit friends and/or family. Stopped, stopped, stopped and you dare not complain about it and even so you might still be arrested and charged with a crime, just because some officer decided to do so. It was terrifying and terrible and I watched it play out on the streets everyday. Bloomberg had all the information he needed to know better than to continue it, but he chose to keep it going. Racist politicians never, ever admit they are racist! So you cannot take their word for it, all you can do is judge them by their actions.

My bet is that the elections will be called off or postponed indefinitely "for cause", so that Trump can remain in office for life, after all, he's thoroughly intimidated the cowardly Republicans who hold the Senate, so we'll never get the chance to remove him from office. By the time Moscow Mitch and his sycophants grow a spine Trump will have replaced the Generals with more Bob Barr types. Then it will be too late to do anything and he'll be president for life. Or at least until Putin can arrange a military coup and put one of his men in power. Oh right, he's already done that, my bad.
