Republicans always call any attempt to care for less fortunate citizens and others in need of help: "Socialism".  No American should go for that.  We all know that too much of anything is no good, so too for various government schemes.  Total Capitalism = Fascism, Total Socialism = Communism, etc., on and on.  We must learn to shed the jingoistic arguments and come to intelligent conclusions rather than just react to labels.
