People seem not to understand that a President has very real and substantial powers placed in his hands.  In Trumps case, it's as if we've handed a loaded, hair trigger shotgun to a deranged, angry, upset and irrational 2 year old.  Then we sit back and wonder why so many people choose not to challenge him.  A very large number of people are struggling to "make their bones", working in government.  A President can easily ruin their entire life and, being a rank unknown person, they would have little to no recourse to recover.
