Aha, it isn't religious devotion that drives evangelicals to Trump, it's a shared condition of too much salt in the diet that's decreasing their brain function. Do a youtube search for: "too much salt" and watch the results. Trump is probably living in a world of wild and vivid hallucinations, many of which probably involve his beloved racist father. If I had to venture a guess, I'd think that Trump believes his father is watching, if not directing, his every move. "Conceal your racism and keep knocking'em down son!" His life and Presidency has been a dreamscape where everything wrong, no matter how stupid or bad, has worked for him and continues to do so.
