I have to wonder if the Russians haven't compromised the entire Republican party.  Just imagine if the FSB managed to obtain by trick or artifice, kompromat on key Republicans who may have been foolish enough to attend fake partisan events without checking with intelligence or even against their advice, only to discover themselves being photographed watching an xxx rated performance or otherwise being involved, photographed being handed cash by a criminal or some such.  Then yeah, I could see them making the empty insane and off base claims and defenses they're struggling with.
