They do it because they are ignorant and shallow, like street urchins. They have no idea of any but the most obvious layers of existence so they attack everyone who they believe is against them, there's no ability to discern between a persons persona and their offerings. "Partisan" is just a new word they've learned and they use it without knowing it's many meanings.
