California Is Sinking — and Now Could Flood | KQED Newsroom
They need to take a page from Japan and Europe's book and have the western states get together, buy a few of those tunneling machines like they used to dig the Chunnel and dig deep tunnel like aquafers from the mid western flood zones to the drying California farmlands and cities. It would be a tremendous project something like building the Panama canal, but I somehow don't think we're up to big projects anymore.
