Trumps phony investigation will only discover that it was his own actions that caused the Mueller investigation to happen, because until he and his administration began lying about their Russian contacts and meetings, the only thing on the table was an investigation into Russia's efforts to interfere in the election.  True, Trump and his campaign kept appearing in the normal course of tracking the Russians and that was suspicious.  But those suspicions escalated when they all began lying, under oath, about it to the Congress.
