Magical thinking is
the attribution of causal relationships between actions and events
which cannot be justified by reason and observation. In a statement
attributed to Fiorina, it appears Fiorina may be afflicted with this
type of “magical” thinking.
The Daily Mail reports that Carly Fiorina said that McCain lost the White House because Sarah Palin refused to meet with Fiorina and allow her time to teach Palin about economic issues. There are so many things wrong with this type of magical thinking, that it’s hard to know where to start.
1. Fiorina presumes that she is an expert on economic issues. That is magical thinking when the time she spent as the CEO of Hewlet Packard resulted in a decline of the stock by 50%. The only thing Fiorina seems to know about economic issues is how to lose money. READ MORE
