Israeli startup joins scrum of firms in wireless gaming and Web

TEL AVIV (MarketWatch) — Pebbles Interfaces, a specialist in gesture-recognition technology, says that if you flick your finger at the screen on your smartphone, computer or TV, any number of cool things are possible.
Gesture recognition — controlling electronic devices without touching them — is the technological connection that enables you to, say, sit on the couch and surf the Web or play “Assassin’s Creed” on your 42-inch flat screen on the wall. Likewise, you can control your PC screen right in front of you.
Pebbles, a Ness Tziona, Israel, start-up, says its technology, which will be ready for launch in 2012, will take gesture recognition to a more sensitive and natural level, recognizing simple and subtle finger movements to execute everything on screen.
