Few Masks, Little Social Distancing At Final Night Of RNC | Morning Joe ...

This was not a "scathing attack" on Joe Biden.  A scathing attack would be to use the truth about a person and explain and characterize that truth as something terrible.  Using lies as a starting point is not a scathing attack, it is an unhinged diatribe of worthlessness.

Mike Pence Spokesman Squirms On Russia Question | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Com'on people; when asked a simple direct question that can and should be answered with a yes or no (unlike questions: "Are you still beating your wife?") only reason not to give a direct yes or no answer is, the subject doesn't know who may know who, or how many other people know or are aware of the truth.  Thus, to avoid being caught later,  one cannot give a definite answer. Guilt has it's consequences, eh?

Anyone who has really been paying any attention to the financial side of politics knows that the economy has always done better under Democrats!  That's just a fact that anyone who is really concerned about improving their pocket should know.  I mean, really, would you hire a financial adviser who is known for always having lost money?  But, since no one paid any attention to the records, or even demanded that Trump show his actual financial history, they just purchased a pig in a poke.  Then they complain that things have gone horribly wrong.
Oh, and while we're at it, how about "send them back to those s-hole countries?  Or those newly  elected Reps. should go back to... where?  They're Americans,  where are they to be sent back to?  There is no "Big Tent of Inclusion", it's just the same ol' Big Top of Confusion.

Steve Rattner: U.S. Economy Is Still In Shambles | Morning Joe | MSNBC

Things take time to happen, businesses take time to fail.  They reopen with hopes of regaining past performance and that hope carries them for a while even as they continue to burn cash, trying to hold on.  Then pow,  here comes a re closure and while business is slow and continuing to burn cash.  There comes a day when owners have to call it a day,  either to preserve what cash they have left, or because they've hit the wall.  Each business that closes leaves a gap up stream with suppliers and services and it takes time for those gaps to take down the upstream businesses. Trumps failure to create a national strategy and his penchant to create chaos as he struggles to do the thing that is popular at the moment,  means that everyone is on shaky ground at the mercy of travelers from bordering states and the potential for further re closures.

One two week closure early on would have allowed the nation to clear enough infections to trace the remainder and keep the pandemic under control, two weeks or so closures would not have wrecked the economy the way these uncertain fits and starts have.

Some of the Wonderful People Trump surrounds himself with

"The Unraveling of America: Is This the End of the American Empire?" | A...

I see it as a generational progression.  In the first millenium and before there was little technology,  people were focused on obtaining peace through governance.

Then came the second millennium, science and technology blossomed and began the process of fortune building along side of horrible wars that technology made ever worse.  The "rule of law" provided for peace and personal freedom while technological developments created high performing industrial and economic growth.  Throughout those times, 16th, 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries, there grew a healthy fear of totalitarianism.  As the 20th century grew into the 21st, the newer generations were so far from the "savagery" of the Kings and Noblemen, and/or the militarism of Hitler, Stalin and the vagaries of the "cold war", the nations guard dropped as such memories faded and once again mysticism, superstition and rejection of science and reason began to regain their appeal.  The illusions of Harry Potter, Star Wars, video games like Mortal Kombat, Pacman, Grand Theft Auto, Xbox and the like, stroked the imaginations of two generations and led them astray of the moorings of logic, reason, common sense, science and how these things are necessary if one is to have the freedoms afforded by the U.S. Constitution.

So, now the nation is easily scammed,  and bogus screeds designed to hold power by a few,  have undermined the economy and social fabric of society, because we didn't or couldn't insist on a unified response led by the science,  we've been forced yet again to spend massively to keep things together.  We've been spending and spending to stave off one economic disaster after another,  only to find ourselves confronted by one after another.  Each time corrections are made, they don't last long enough to repair the damages done before "we're off to the races again".

We, probably, still have one more chance at saving the nation,  but we're in such bad mental shape by percentages, it's doubtful any "paste pot and patches" fixes will be much more than as ephemeral as the Clinton/Obama work was.

"Dodgy" DeJoy Testifies to the Senate: His "Credibility" Reminiscent of ...

What is DeJoys promises worth?  Seeing how he has no experience with the postal service, how can he tell us which cuts are going to result in what?  Obviously he's just talking off the top of his head (lying to congress as has become common for Trump appointee's and hires).  A truthful, well intended person would bring a trusted long serving professional of the service, along to explain, without any prior constraints on him/her.  Don't worry Pelosi and others will call past Post Office leaders to explain the impact these actions can be expected to have.
