Trump makes space exploration racist and fascist with announcement of 6th branch of armed forces
Donald Trump is an idiot. A powerful, terrible, idiot. On Monday Trump said that he would direct the Defense Department and the Pentagon to create an independent “Space Force.” This would be a new branch of the armed forces of the United States of America and technically—constitutionally speaking—would need an act of Congress to actually exist.
Trump: My administration is reclaiming America’s heritage as the world’s greatest space-faring nation...It is not enough to have an American presence in space; we must have an American dominance in space…Very importantly, I’m hereby directing the Department of Defense and Pentagon to immediately begin the process necessary to establish a “Space Force,” as the 6th branch of the armed forces. That’s a big statement. We are going to have the “Air Force,” and we are going to have the “Space Force.”Separate but equal.
There has never been a single thing described as “separate but equal” that has ever worked out to be anything but a terrible and undemocratic idea. Of course, Trump and the Republican Party’s opinions on the infamous Plessy v. Ferguson case from which that racist phrase comes from is likely different than history’s opinion on the matter. ZTE crashes after Senate passes a Trump deal killing bill
Okay so this happened tonite...the senate passed a defense authorization bill to the tune of 707 billion dollars. Some senators were successful in attaching an amendment which will reimpose the White House’s original ban on ZTE buying components from US firms.
This will cause a standoff with the Trump administration, which wanted to “fix” the problem in trade negotiations with China.
The House had already passed similar legislation, and now the Senate is saying they plan to reconcile the two bills by the end of July.
Then the legislation goes to Trump to sign or veto.
ZTE, which in recent weeks has been on life support, fell another 15% on this news.
Bipartisanship is not dead? The measure to reinstate the sales ban was led by Tom Cotton (R) of Arkansas, Chuck Schumer (D) of New York, Chris Van Hollen (D) of Maryland, and Marco Rubio (R) of Florida.
The Wall Street Journal has a pretty comprehensive first look story up. Good to know there is some spirit of fight left in the Senate against something Trump wanted. I just would like to know why they seem to be all about working together on this right at this moment.
I would like to think Republicans are fearing for their political lives right now, and are thinking they better pass something that would help them stay alive, and give them an argument that “hey, we do so stand up to Trump”. But the cynic in me says “nah, that can’t be it. Gotta be more to it than I can see”. Would like to hear from any experts on this! FROM THE SITE (CLICK HERE)

Michael Cohen's attorneys flee as it appears that Donald Trump's fixer is fixin' to flip
ABC News is reporting that the lawyers for Donald Trump’s personal attorney, porn star fixer and reporter threatener have left the building. With a hearing coming up on Friday, the law firm that has represented Cohen to this point has quit. No one has replaced them.
Cohen, now with no legal representation, is likely to cooperate with federal prosecutors in New York, sources said. This development, which is believed to be imminent, will likely hit the White House, family members, staffers and counsels hard.
Hard. As in unraveling a series of shadowy LLCs that seems to have functioned not just for paying off porn stars, but accepting money from governments and corporations intent on buying influence in the Trump White House. That hard.
Hard as in Cohen was involved in exactly the sort of money laundering through real estate sales that has kept Trump afloat since his last bankruptcy.
Hard as in Cohen doesn’t just know where a lot of the skeletons are buried, he was the guy holding the shovel.
And it’s going to be difficult to explain this in the form of “the legal expenses were getting to be too much for Cohen” because Donald Trump has been picking up the tab on Cohen’s legal expenses, spending nearly a quarter of a million by the end of April. Those funds for Cohen’s defense came from Trump’s campaign, even though Cohen never held any official role in either the 2016 or 2020 campaigns.
Friday’s hearing day for Cohen is also the day when Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort is due back in court to justify why he shouldn’t be locked up for violating his bond through witness tampering.

As desperation sinks in, Cohen throws Hail Mary pass
Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney for Donald Trump who spent years doing television appearances on behalf of the biggest publicity seeking big mouth in modern history, is now trying to get attorney Michael Avenatti thrown off the Stormy Daniels case by seeking a restraining order. Why? Cohen is citing Avenatti’s “unquenchable thirst for publicity.” Seriously. From NBC News:
The motion filed in federal court for the Central District of California relates to a lawsuit brought by Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, against Trump and Cohen seeking to invalidate the non-disclosure agreement she signed in exchange for $130,000 payment made a month before the 2016 presidential election. The motion claims that "Avenatti's actions are mainly driven by his seemingly unquenchable thirst for publicity," and seeks an order restraining Avenatti "from communicating with the press and/or public regarding the merits of this case."
Avenatti responded calling it a “joke.” TO READ MORE CLICK HERE
Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Raj Shah plan to leave
CBS News is reporting that Press secretary Sarah Sanders and principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah have both let it be known that they’re preparing to leave. Sanders expects to get out by the end of the year. Shah has not yet set a date.
The task of defending Donald Trump’s shifting statements and daily lies first fell to Sean Spicer. The podium was then attended by Anthony Scaramucci, whose term was so short he was gone before he officially began. Though it may seem as if Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been there for a decent slice of forever, she’s actually been on the job less than a year. She started at the end of July in 2017. Still, she’s outlasted Spicer, who made it only six months before leaving his home in the bushes to run for the exits.

Senator Warren On Mick Mulvaney: This Is The Most Corrupt Administration Ever
The republicans are now calling for the Justice Dept., to end it's "Russia" investigation(s). If this happens the Justice department will be destroyed by a lack of non-partisan pursuit of the enforcement of laws. That means that the Justice dept., will then be seen as an arm of the political party in power. With nowhere to turn for non-partisan justice, only the force of arms will hold. The nation descends into a chaos that will not support our highly sophisticated society (to put it nicely).
