 A gun is found next to a body,  it's determined to be the murder weapon.  The owner is found, accused and executed.  What is the difference between that and the witch hunts of Salem?

America was supposed to be better than that.  We, unlike any other country on earth,  would have the courage to afford the accused a trial where they could confront their accusers,  contest the evidence against them and be released if not proven guilty.  No longer would the mere word of the King or his Noble men be enough to deprive a citizen of life, liberty or property and the right to pursue happiness.

But, there we were in 2001, right back to where we were, at law, before this country was started.  See a crime and immediately it's: "Get the rope boys,  we already know who did it!" No need for an investigation because,  no ill intended criminal would ever think of possibly escaping justice by simply having the evidence point to someone else.  So,  just leave the body right there on the ground,  paint a sign saying: "Right this way to the murderer! ---> x

Does anyone still realize that things may not be what they appear to be?  Go read at "The Innocence Project" to see just how many times CSI gets it wrong.  Bush promised a swift investigation that never came before he trundled off to war against the people he so quickly accused,  who turned out not to be guilty in the end.  15 years later and what have we got?  The FBI still has no evidence that OBL did 911 and half of the skyjackers are proven innocent because they were never on the planes.  The accused, found innocent, were Saudi's not Afghani's and Iraq had nothing at all to do with 911, nor did they have any wmd's or any plans to attack anyone. 

   Oh well,  any intelligence agency can and does get infiltrated.  The only way to find out what's going on inside them is to dissolve them.  Then the infiltrators must flee like rats from a sinking ship.  Enough said!
