My bet is that the elections will be called off or postponed indefinitely "for cause", so that Trump can remain in office for life, after all, he's thoroughly intimidated the cowardly Republicans who hold the Senate, so we'll never get the chance to remove him from office. By the time Moscow Mitch and his sycophants grow a spine Trump will have replaced the Generals with more Bob Barr types. Then it will be too late to do anything and he'll be president for life. Or at least until Putin can arrange a military coup and put one of his men in power. Oh right, he's already done that, my bad.
