Unfortunately, waiting until a president leaves office would be like waiting for the patient to die before operating on the tumor.

We have a President who the law enforcement agencies and our intelligence agencies are saying, maybe engaged in working for, or on behalf of an enemy foreign government. Obviously, waiting for proof positive is the wrong way to go. Because, with his powers, irreparable damage can be done. For instance, undermining our legal institutions and undoing the checks and balances that prevent him from being a dictator. Of course we are not prepared to handle rogue presidents because we always believed in American exceptionalism. That view said the very idea of a rogue president was farfetched. Now we're waking up to the same type of horror that befell Germany among other regimes.
