As desperation sinks in, Cohen throws Hail Mary pass
Michael Cohen, the former personal attorney for Donald Trump who spent years doing television appearances on behalf of the biggest publicity seeking big mouth in modern history, is now trying to get attorney Michael Avenatti thrown off the Stormy Daniels case by seeking a restraining order. Why? Cohen is citing Avenatti’s “unquenchable thirst for publicity.” Seriously. From NBC News:
The motion filed in federal court for the Central District of California relates to a lawsuit brought by Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, against Trump and Cohenseeking to invalidatethe non-disclosure agreement she signed in exchange for $130,000 payment made a month before the 2016 presidential election.
The motion claims that "Avenatti's actions are mainly driven by his seemingly unquenchable thirst for publicity," and seeks an order restraining Avenatti "from communicating with the press and/or public regarding the merits of this case."
