How Tent Cities Are Revitalizing Sit-In Activism

Since citizens of the newly-founded township Walkerville, Wisconsin, created their own tent city in Madison's Capital Square to protest Scott Walker's budget problems, a spate of similar tent cities have sprouted up in protest across the nation. Because what is a more effective action than one that goes 24-7? Last week, in response to Walkerville, New York citizens founded Bloombergville outside Manhattan's City Hall, in order to protest his garbage city budget.
